Numerical simulation of heavy fermions in an SU(2)L ⊗ SU(2)R symmetric Yukawa model

چکیده
An exploratory numerical study of the influence of heavy fermion doublets on the mass of the Higgs boson is performed in the decoupling limit of a chiral SU(2)L⊗ SU(2)R symmetric Yukawa model with mirror fermions. The behaviour of fermion and boson masses is investigated at infinite bare quartic coupling on 4 · 8, 6 · 12 and 8 ·16 lattices. A first estimate of the upper bound on the renormalized quartic coupling as a function of the renormalized Yukawa-coupling is given.

Bounds on the renormalized couplings in an SU(2)L ⊗ SU(2)R symmetric Yukawa model
The vacuum stability lower bound on the mass of the Higgs boson is numerically investigated in an SU(2)L ⊗ SU(2)R symmetric Yukawa model, which describes two heavy degenerate fermion doublets in the limit of vanishing gauge couplings. Good agreement with perturbation theory is found, although the couplings are strong. The upper bound on the fermion mass and renormalized Yukawa coupling is also ...
متن کاملMass Spectrum and Bounds on the Couplings in Yukawa Models With Mirror-Fermions
The SU(2)L ⊗ SU(2)R symmetric Yukawa model with mirror-fermions in the limit where the mirror-fermion is decoupled is studied both analytically and numerically. The bare scalar self-coupling λ is fixed at zero and infinity. The phase structure is explored and the relevant phase transition is found to be consistent with a second order one. The fermionic mass spectrum close to that transition is ...
متن کاملPHASE DIAGRAM OF AN SU(2) x SU(2) SCALAR-FERMION MODEL WITH MASSLESS DECOUPLED DOUBLERS
We present the phase structure of the chiral SU(2) × SU(2) scalarfermion model on the lattice using the Zaragoza proposal for chiral fermions. The numerical result agrees with an analytic study based on the use of weak and strong yukawa coupling expansions combined with the mean-field approach. The phase diagram consists of four phases: paramagnetic (PM), ferromagnetic (FM), antiferromagnetic (...
متن کاملA New Approach to Yukawa Textures in Supersymmetric Unified Models With Gauged Family Symmetries
The origin of texture zeroes in the Yukawa matrices may be accounted for by appealing to a broken gauged family symmetry such as U(1)X , where such symmetries arise naturally from string theories. In order to improve the predictive power of such models we appeal to quark-lepton unification where additional Clebsch texture zeroes appear, leading to an entirely new class of models. We illustrate ...

We present results concerning a lattice study of the electroweak ρ-parameter. We have used an SU(2) × U(1) symmetric chiral Yukawa model built with Zaragoza fermions. The decoupling of the species doublers in this model is verified numerically. We find that the numerical data for ∆ρ are well described by one-loop perturbation theory in the same finite volume and with the same finite cutoff. How...
